Gas overhead for proxied function call

Say, have you done any estimates on gas overhead for proxied function call compared to call directly to the corresponding function in the logic contract? If so is there any variance in or dependency of the overhead to be aware of when developing smart contracts with ZeppelinOS?

Hey @jijordre. That is a great question. We really like it!

I’ve run some tests on Remix and It seems a gas overhead is 1,577 no matter which transaction it is. Efficiency of a proxy use increase with size of a transaction.
